Logicalis, the international IT solutions and managed services provider, is proud to announce it has raised over twenty thousand pounds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSHCC), at its annual charity golf event held at Wentworth Golf Club in Surrey.

Great Ormond Street Hospital, Logicalis’ chosen charity this year, provides world-class care to hundreds of children every day, but relies heavily on public support. Mark Starkey, Managing Director of Logicalis UK, presented a cheque for £21,066 at a ceremony held at the Hospital on the 18th July.

Mark Starkey, Managing Director of Logicalis UK, explains, “We’re truly inspired by the work carried out on a daily basis by the staff at Great Ormond Street Hospital. In order for it to remain a world-leading centre for the care of young patients and their families, organisations must do everything they can to help GOSH maintain its reputation and to continue to innovate its services for the long term.”

Logicalis’ charity golf event took place at Wentworth Golf Club on the 10th July and was hosted by CEO of Logicalis Group, Ian Cook. Starkey continues, “The event at Wentworth was a great success and we’re very proud to have raised this sum of money. A big thank you to everyone who donated to this extremely worthy cause.”

Catherine Sheard, Fundraising Executive at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, added, “We are delighted that Logicalis supported Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity through their Corporate Golf Day this year. The vital funds they raised will help to make a real difference to the children we treat and their families. We rely on fundraisers all over the UK to help us to buy vital equipment, fund pioneering research and to rebuild and refurbish some of our hospital site. This redevelopment will allow us to replace inconvenient, cramped out-dated wards with new facilities where parents can sleep alongside their child. On behalf of the staff, parents and children at Great Ormond Street Hospital, we would like to say thank you to Logicalis.”
