Logicalis iConnect service moves to new facility in Britannia Place

, Nov 9, 2017

Logicalis’s Jersey-based iConnect service has moved from Duhamel Place, St Helier, to the firm’s Britannia Place offices.

iConnect is a secure hosted service that allows users to benefit from enterprise-level systems and security, without the need for the management of traditional costly IT infrastructures.

By moving to the same premises as the Logicalis European Security Operations Centre (SOC), the iConnect team will be better placed to offer clients a more integrated approach to data security. This will be particularly useful when helping smaller businesses to address the challenges of become compliant ahead of EU General Data Protection Regulations (EU GDPR) legislation next May.

Jonathan Ward, Client Account Manager, Logicalis, said: “Businesses are becoming more aware of the issues around EU GDPR and the need to ensure they know who is accessing their data, and who may be removing it, if they are to be GDPR-compliant. The recent high profile data leaks show the importance of data security, and improved system security for businesses of all sizes.

“iConnect already offers smaller businesses the sort of security and systems normally only accessed by large enterprises. Moving to our new secure facility near the SOC will allow us to strengthen our offering, giving clients access to one of the most advanced, secure managed services available.”

Earlier this year Logicalis launched its Security Operations Centre Europe - the first in the Channel Islands – providing 24-hour security to help protect clients around the world from system breaches.

Tom Bale, Business Development and Technical Director, Logicalis, said: “The move brings two of our key operations into the same facility. Having iConnect and our Security Operations teams working closer together will enhance all our services and allow us to continue to deliver the highest standards of management, maintenance and monitoring of IT systems.”
